Magpies Christmas

Introduction
Magpie nests can often contain bright and shiny things. There are likely to be plenty of the latter in this shop! At 36 Burgate, the building is near the site of a Roman gate in the city walls. Once lodged in by Canterbury pilgrims, Christmas Market visitors can now stay at this Cathedral Gate Hotel. The ground floor is a Starbucks.

St Nicholas at Canterbury card from Shirley Veater © St Nicholas Center US. Christian centres are now restoring the history and miraculous deeds of this wonder worker and Bishop of Myra, who gave help to the poor, sick and needy. This revitalises the true significance of Christmas.
