Quilts 4 London
In June 2009 the project began with the aim of creating a gift for each and every 2012 Olympic and Paralympic athlete, quite simply for taking part. Pennants were chosen as these are traditionally exchanged at friendly sporting events. Some 14,000 pennants were then produced by quilting groups across the UK. A3 is the recommended size. As shown in the left photo of the pennants already completed at the Tylers Patch studio, shapes and themes are varied, including the sports.
